Google Maps satellite view adds visual context to your journey: roads, buildings and surroundings help you understand where the next turn leads. The large screen makes routes easier to follow in unfamiliar places. This is satellite map imagery, not a live camera feed; available views depend on the app version and connection.

Waze brings your route, estimated arrival time and available traffic information to the display. When congestion builds or conditions change, up-to-date information helps you plan your journey. Clear turn guidance makes the next junction easier to understand. Traffic information and alerts depend on internet connectivity and regional data.

The laminated 1280 × 720 HD touchscreen gives maps, track titles and menus room to breathe. Tap, swipe or zoom with familiar touch gestures. It is an upgrade you can appreciate every time you get into your car.
Your apps. Your way to travel.
Android 13, 4 GB RAM and 64 GB internal storage let you make the system your own. Download compatible navigation, music and other apps directly to the stereo through Google Play. Connect to your phone’s Wi-Fi hotspot for internet access. App availability and operation depend on their requirements; some services require an account or subscription.

The built-in Alpine amplifier provides a maximum output of 4 × 50 W. A three-band equaliser, five presets and fader/balance controls help you tailor the sound. Bluetooth 5.0 supports music streaming and hands-free calls. An external microphone can be connected if required.
Take your music beyond mobile coverage.
Two rear USB connections offer USB media playback and device charging options. Supported audio formats include FLAC, WAV and AAC. Local files do not rely on mobile reception; save video entertainment for when the car is safely parked.

AW409S is a universal head unit. We offer suitable fascia panels and connection kits for many vehicle models. Camera inputs and steering wheel control learning provide flexible installation options. What is included?
ALPINE INE-AW409S head unit, GPS antenna, two 1-metre USB connection cables and extension cables for camera, steering wheel controls and other connections. Vehicle-specific fascia, CAN adapter and vehicle wiring adapters are selected separately. An external microphone is not listed as included here.

Questions and answers
Can I use the Alpine menus in English?
Yes. English is supported on the supplied AW409S version, alongside languages including German, French and Russian. Phone and app language settings are separate and depend on the app.
Are Apple CarPlay and Android Auto wireless?
Yes. AutoDIGI has tested both wireless connections. A compatible phone is required. Screen mirroring is also supported; operation depends on the phone, connection app and content restrictions.
Can I download apps from Google Play?
Yes. AW409S is an Android device with Google Play support. You can install compatible apps, but not every phone app will work on a car display. Downloads require internet access and usually a Google account.
Does FM radio show station names and logos?
The unit supports RDS, and FM preset names can be entered manually. Adding station logos is not supported. Displayed RDS information also depends on the broadcaster.
Can I watch video while driving?
The unit supports video playback. Drivers must concentrate on the road: watch video only when the car is safely parked. Video entertainment is not intended for the driver while driving.
Will AW409S fit my car?
It is a universal unit, so installation depends on dashboard space, fascia and vehicle connections. We offer installation kits for many models. Send us your vehicle details and an original stereo photo for a compatibility check.
Does it support hands-free calling?
Yes. Bluetooth supports calls and music streaming. The unit has a built-in microphone and an external microphone connection; suitable external microphone positioning can help improve call quality.
Can I insert a SIM card for internet access?
No. AW409S has no integrated 4G/SIM capability. Share internet through your phone’s Wi-Fi hotspot or connect to another suitable Wi-Fi network.
Can I install it myself?
Yes, if you understand car stereo wiring and have the correct installation kit. For complex factory systems, we recommend a professional installer. We can provide installer contacts in Estonia and Finland.
Will my steering wheel buttons, factory camera and amplifier still work?
This depends on the vehicle equipment and adapters. The unit supports steering wheel control learning and AHD/composite camera inputs. Retaining a factory camera or amplifier may require an additional adapter, and not all factory functions are guaranteed to remain available.
Are the fascia and vehicle-specific cables included in the price?
This product price covers the head unit and listed standard accessories. The vehicle-specific fascia, wiring adapters and any additional interfaces are sold separately.
Is there a monthly fee for CarPlay or Android Auto?
AutoDIGI does not charge a monthly fee for these functions. Mobile data and your chosen music or other services may incur charges.
