Compatibility and installation details

01 / ALPINE
Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto – phone in your pocket, favourite apps on screen.
Both Alpine Standard and Alpine Ultra support wireless Apple CarPlay and wireless Android Auto. Pair your compatible iPhone or Android phone once and accept the required connection permissions. With Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and automatic connection enabled, the connection will normally resume automatically on later journeys, without plugging in a cable or repeating the setup.
With CarPlay and Android Auto, compatible apps run on your phone while their driving interface appears on the large Alpine touchscreen. Your music, navigation and calls are ready once the connection is established – there is no need to take your phone out of your pocket or install the same apps separately on the head unit.
Use apps such as Waze, Google Maps or Spotify where they support CarPlay or Android Auto on your phone. Available features depend on your phone, the app and its settings.
02 / ALPINE
Google Play apps directly on your Alpine – just like an Android tablet.
Alpine is also a standalone Android multimedia centre. Sign in with your Google account and download compatible apps from Google Play. Navigation, music, a web browser and other entertainment run directly on the Alpine without a CarPlay or Android Auto connection.
Watch YouTube while parked, or use Netflix, Telia TV or Go3 where compatible. Installed apps use the Alpine’s own memory and processing power. Connect Standard to the internet through a Wi-Fi hotspot, for example from your phone, or use Ultra’s 4G/LTE capability with a separate SIM card and data plan.
App availability and operation depend on the Android version, device compatibility and service provider requirements, including certification and content protection. Paid services require the relevant account and subscription. Being downloadable from Google Play does not mean every app or service is free.
03 / ALPINE
A clear route. More familiar surroundings.
Google Maps helps you follow your route, while satellite view makes the area around your destination easier to recognise. Waze displays available traffic information and an estimated arrival time. Use compatible map apps through your phone or install them directly on the Alpine. Live traffic needs internet access; supported offline maps can be downloaded before you travel. Satellite view is map imagery, not a live camera feed.
04 / ALPINE
9 inches of space for maps and music.
Both Alpine Standard and Ultra have a 9″ laminated touchscreen with 1280 × 720 resolution. Standard’s quad-core 1.5 GHz processor and 4+64 GB memory suit everyday use. Ultra’s octa-core 2.0 GHz Snapdragon and 8+256 GB memory provide more capacity for apps, maps and media. The extra cost of Ultra primarily brings more capable hardware, audio features and mobile internet; screen size and resolution are the same.
05 / ALPINE
Internet your way: Wi-Fi or Ultra’s 4G/LTE.
Alpine Standard connects through Wi-Fi, such as your phone’s hotspot; it has no built-in 4G/SIM capability. Alpine Ultra adds a built-in 4G/LTE modem alongside Wi-Fi. Its cabled SIM adapter lets you position the slot within reach, and external LTE antennas connect to the rear panel. Apps installed directly on Ultra can access the internet without switching on your phone’s hotspot. A SIM card and data plan are required separately; coverage depends on the operator and location.
06 / ALPINE
Choose Alpine to suit your listening and sound system.
Alpine Standard offers a 3-band equaliser, five sound presets, balance and fader controls, and a front-channel pre-out. For a more advanced sound system, we recommend Ultra: AKM7739 DSP, six independently adjustable 48-band EQ channels, time alignment, and high- and low-pass filters help tailor the sound to your car. An optical output and three configurable pre-outs provide more options for connecting a compatible external amplifier and subwoofer. Both built-in amplifiers are rated at 4 × 50 W maximum, not continuous RMS power.
07 / ALPINE
Take your music along, even without mobile coverage.
Both Alpine models offer two rear USB connections and support FLAC, WAV and AAC audio files. USB media and downloaded files let you listen without mobile coverage. Bluetooth 5.0 supports music streaming and hands-free calls. Watch videos only while the car is safely parked.

Questions and answers
Are the screen and installation kit included in the price?
Yes. This complete kit includes your chosen Alpine screen, vehicle-specific fascia and the required cables, plus a CAN-bus adapter when required by the vehicle model. Installation labour is not included in the product price.
Should I choose Alpine Standard or Alpine Ultra?
Standard 4+64 GB suits navigation, music, calls and everyday Android apps. Ultra 8+256 GB offers more performance and storage, 4G/LTE support and more extensive audio features.
Which Alpine suits an external amplifier and subwoofer?
We recommend Ultra: its DSP, optical output, adjustable pre-outs, time alignment and filters provide more adjustment options. The result also depends on the amplifier, speakers and installation.
Does Ultra deliver more power to the speakers?
Both screens list a maximum built-in amplifier output of 4 × 50 W. This is not a continuous RMS power rating. Ultra’s main advantages are sound processing, adjustment and connections. Higher speaker power requires a suitable external amplifier.
Do both versions have wireless CarPlay and Android Auto?
Both Alpine Standard and Alpine Ultra support wireless Apple CarPlay and wireless Android Auto. Pair your compatible iPhone or Android phone once and accept the required connection permissions. With Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and automatic connection enabled, the connection will normally resume automatically on later journeys, without plugging in a cable or repeating the setup.
Do apps run on my phone or on the Alpine?
With CarPlay and Android Auto, compatible apps run on your phone and their driving interface appears on the Alpine display. Apps installed on the Alpine from Google Play run directly on the head unit without a CarPlay or Android Auto connection. Online services need internet access, and some services also require a subscription.
How does Alpine connect to the internet?
Standard uses Wi-Fi, such as your phone’s hotspot. Ultra also has built-in 4G/LTE support and a SIM adapter. A SIM card and mobile data plan must be obtained separately.
Will this kit fit my car?
Check the model, years and version restrictions at the beginning of the description and compare the compatibility image with your original radio. For a fitment check, send the vehicle year and a photo of the original radio switched on.
Will the original radio functions be retained?
Support is vehicle-specific. Read the model and wiring notes at the beginning of the description and tell us whether the vehicle has a factory camera or a separate factory amplifier.
Can an EU VAT-registered business order with 0% VAT?
We can issue a 0% VAT invoice for an eligible business in another EU member state if it has a valid EU VAT number and the goods are shipped from Estonia to another EU member state. Payment must come from the invoiced company’s account, and delivery must be to the company’s address. Contact us before ordering so we can check the details.
What is the delivery time, and when is shipping free?
The kit is in stock. Delivery takes 2–7 working days. Orders over €150 include free delivery to parcel lockers in Estonia, Finland, Latvia and Lithuania.
