9″ Android screen installation kit for Volkswagen Crafter / Mercedes-Benz Sprinter
This vehicle-specific AutoDIGI installation kit is designed to fit a 9-inch Android multimedia screen. Compatibility: Volkswagen Crafter / Mercedes-Benz Sprinter. The fascia adapts a compatible screen to the dashboard, while the wiring harness connects it to the original radio connectors.
Kit contents and fascia version
The kit includes a fascia for a 9″ screen and a wiring harness. The screen side uses a standard 16PIN connector, while the vehicle side has connections compatible with the original radio plugs. If the radio communicates with the vehicle over CAN-bus, the required CAN-bus adapter is included.
Steering wheel controls and original functions
With a compatible Android screen, the wiring harness supports retaining steering wheel controls and most basic vehicle functions. Exact support depends on the original vehicle equipment, the selected screen and its settings.
Installation details
Vehicles with an original 1DIN radio need to be checked for an additional mounting base.
Questions and answers
How can I be sure this installation kit fits my vehicle (Volkswagen Crafter / Mercedes-Benz Sprinter)?
Attach a photo of the original radio with the screen switched on to your order. Include the vehicle year and let us know whether it has a factory camera or a separate amplifier. We use these details to check compatibility and select the required wiring harness.
Will the steering wheel controls in my vehicle (Volkswagen Crafter / Mercedes-Benz Sprinter) still work?
The kit supports existing steering wheel controls with a compatible Android screen. The correct CAN-bus settings may need to be selected, or the buttons may need to be assigned in the screen settings. Support for individual buttons and special functions depends on the original system.
Can I retain the original camera in my vehicle (Volkswagen Crafter / Mercedes-Benz Sprinter)?
Kits with a CAN-bus adapter can retain the original reversing camera in many cases. The camera type, connection and screen video input must be checked against the vehicle equipment. Some systems require an additional adapter. Volkswagen vehicles manufactured before 2016 with a 40PIN radio connector require an additional dedicated camera adapter to retain the original camera.
Is a screen included, and which screens are compatible?
An Android screen is not included. The fascia is intended for an aftermarket 9″ Android screen with a suitable housing and mounting points. In addition to the screen diagonal, the housing dimensions, mounting points and 16PIN connector pinout must match. If you already have a screen, send us its model or a photo of the back.
